Did you know...

What does a school board do?

There are two main roles that the school board are in charge of:
1) Budget policy
2) Set the direction for the school district

PVSD Employess

Pleasant Valley School District is the biggest employer in Camarillo with more than 800+ dedicated employees. We need to protect our workers all the way from custodians, bus drivers, childcare, support staff in the classrooms, school offices, as well as teachers, and administration.

And just as important

School boards are crucial for equal access for all as well as being responsive to the community. We are the champions of Public Education!

Why am I running?

As I retire from the classroom, it is my desire to continue the passion I have for education as a school board member. I believe my background in education and business will be an asset to the district. My children attended PVSD schools and I am a proud teacher of our district. It is my belief that school board members need to lead with good governance, practice ongoing accountability and a commitment to being receptive and responsive to the community. My top priorities are education and safety on our campuses. As a school leader, I want to continue the conversation together as we advocate for students, staff, families, and the community that we serve.

Empowering Every Student
